DPH World is looking for a passionate, motivated and resourceful Luxury Travel Designer to join its team.

Job description

Our ideal candidate would be someone well-travelled and curious, with great attention to detail and appreciation for top-notch service excellence. You will have an in depth understanding of selling luxury travel, and you will provide exceptional service, selling luxury trips. As a Luxury Travel Designer, you will be fulfilling leisure travel requests in Greece from A to Z on behalf of our high-net-worth clients. The role is fast paced, multi-faceted and rewarding. You will become an expert in Greece as a holiday destination within the luxury market.

Your exceptional customer service skills, commercial judgment, skillful use of travel research and booking technology as well as your passion for travel will deliver superb client satisfaction, high levels of supplier revenue, and customer retention.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Handling of incoming and existing enquiries by contacting clients via call, email or WhatsApp, in order to have detailed conversations to establish their travel preferences and build a trusted relationship that will lead to a successful conversion of the requests
  • Provide expert travel advice on Greece as a luxury destination by advising clients on product and service offers and their availability
  • Prepare detailed, accurate and high-quality itineraries, reflecting the client’s interests, and selecting the most appropriate flights, accommodation, and tours at the time of the request
  • Quick turnaround of inbound travel requests within set timeframes and administration from quote to booking (end to end)
  • Create transparent and accurate breakdown of costs to match proposed itinerary
  • Maximizing sales and optimising the customer’s travel experience as well as ensuring customer retention by constantly creating tailored responses until conversion is achieved
  • You’ll manage the booking process for all parts of these journeys including flights, accommodation, excursions, transfers, administration and anything else required
  • You will liaise regularly with the suppliers to ensure that all bookings have been made as per itinerary and delivered as per description
  • Ensure all deposit payments are received as per invoice T & C’s
  • Offer WhatsApp support to clients when they are onsite to ensure smooth operations of the trip and accommodate any last minute changes as well as resolving operational issues in timely manner
  • Offer concierge support for all converted bookings including making restaurant and beach club reservations, transfers and anything else the client might require

  • Actively report back on client feedback and any service issues to contribute to product and service improvement that supports our overall vision
  • Providing exceptional service to upmarket clientele and be an ambassador of a luxury company
  • Administrative support in the office as required to deliver all projects
  • Seeking out and producing new written and marketing content (when time allows)
  • Keeping up to date with product and country developments

Key Skills and Experiences

  • Excellent knowledge of the English language both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to absorb extensive information around product knowledge including keeping up to date with relevant hotels, villas, tours, transfers and other elements of the travel itinerary
  • Professional presentation: ability to communicate effectively with high-end clients both verbally and in writing
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Very strong attention to detail
  • Results orientated and able to close travel opportunities/requests
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced work environment that has an open and exciting culture
  • Ability to prioritise the workload and deliver within requested timeframes
  • Hands on and can-do attitude including use of common sense to deliver tasks
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn new applications quickly
  • Ability to learn usage of booking software and other systems
  • Ability to work across shifts as required, sometimes including weekends
  • Deep understanding of our vision and promise to our clients as well as ability to take ownership of projects with strong organization & time management skills
  • You will be someone who can use their initiative and creativity to best meet the needs of our clients
  • Preferred experience in high-end retail travel, tour operations or for a luxury tour operator
  • Adjustability in the ever changing and demanding nature of the travel industry
